Merry Christmas!

Why, hello there again. As you know, it's the end of the year and almost the start of the new one. But strangely enough, I believe that this weekend happens to include both Christmas Eve and Christmas. A yearly commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ or another day to give gifts, sing songs, eat food, and love each other. Regardless of your reason for celebrating Christmas or even how you do it, it's one of those holidays meant to be enjoyed and remembered. Because of this, we wish you a Merry Christmas from this side of the internet, into your glowing computer screen.

On another note, we won't post any articles until the holiday is over on Monday. Why? Because Christmas is no time to be on the computer, reading strangely awesome articles from your neighborly blog, Skyakes. (Sadly enough.) Go and enjoy your weekend; we'll see you on Monday.

Skyakes Update

What's this? An article telling me that there's not going to be a article today? What witchery! But putting that aside, let me inform you that there won't be a post today? But why's that? Did I spend all Saturday sitting around doing nothing all day?

Was this picture taken directly from a google search of "evil villain laughter? Yes. Yes it was.

In other news, I'll like to inform everybody that we're certainly not close to being 'dead' as a blog. I just felt that it was time to take to everybody in a "one on one" approach other than vaguely talking about Skyakes on our Facebook page or our Twitter page.  (All of which you should subscribe to.)

This swiftly placed smiling face has now lighten the mood.

What I'll like to tell you guys is that we've surpassed all of our previous months' page views, this month. All thanks to our dedicated readers and foreign internet wanderers that somehow found their way to this website. For all of which, thank you. It's been a pleasure staying up every night writing articles for your entertainment. While that might have sounded sarcastic, I meant it wholeheartedly. The satisfaction from getting comments, likes, and views really gives me, and our staff the drive needed to keep pushing and pushing.

Excluding last month, we've been getting increased traffic every month. The first month, we achieved 462 views, on the second, 463, and as of today, 531 views. While this may not sound like a lot to you, why don't you go ahead and trying writing a blog in such a competitive field on the internet? The best part about it, is the fact that I've yet to "advertise" Skyakes in the sense of running around, spamming internet boards and buying ads on the internet. The growth of Skyakes is currently "word of the mouth" and we hope to keep it that way until we're 100% ready for the full force of the internet.

On a different topic, we are still moving things around a little bit behind the scenes and we'll like to inform you that we'll have everything good and ready by the end of this month, or the start of next month. Until then, I'll see you on Monday.

Hurricane Irene & News Regarding Skyakes

For New Yorkers, the hot topic of the day is Hurricane Irene. Since New York isn't prone to hurricanes and natural disasters, any natural disaster instantly becomes headline news. Since this hurricane is the hot topic, I would be a fool to not talk about it!

What is Hurricane Irene though? I wake up this morning and according to my weather gadget on my desktop, we can expect "small transparent-blue dots" align together into mysterious formations on Sunday.

If you check on Weather.com, you'll find "Heavy Rain/Wind" on Sunday. Well, doesn't sound too bad to me. I guess I'll close the windows, and snuggle up with some warm milk right?

Skyakes Revamp!

What's this new sensual template doing here? Well it might have something to do with our extreme-revamp. Why is it extreme? Not because it's a massively life-altering, but because its hardcore like six rocks tied onto the end of a rope made of goat skin.

Out with the old, in with the new!

Well, other then the new-fresh look, what else is new you might ask?

• Two new picture-hacks. (I'll show you these in the next few post!)
• A new "associate"! That's right, Skyakes isn't just becoming another slowly dying blog on the verge of collapse, now it's a collaboration of two people running a dying blog on the verge of collapse. Just kidding about the collapse and dying part though.
• The fresh-meat or more politely, the new gentlemen that will be joining us will hopefully bring some fresh air and insight into the room.
• His name is Eddard. Feel free to parade him with balloons and fast cars.

Any ways, with our new staff, we should be able to pump out more quality content, and instead of enjoying one article with a cuppa tea, you can now enjoy two teas. -insert questionable music-
