Horrifying Tuesday : Puss Caterpillar

It's that time of the week again, Horrifying Tuesday! Today's topic is top-notch, probably one of the most adorably murderous creature you'll ever see. If you don't like long haired dogs/cats/people, mops, or have chaetophobia (Fear of hair), you'll probably find yourself vomiting in fear from our small friend.

The Puss Caterpillar could possibly look like the cutest little bugger you've ever seen. If you look close enough, it's like one of those miniature mop-looking dogs. If you look even closer, you'll find hundreds of venomous spines, piercing your eyeballs.

It's like a cuddly fur-ball of agony!

Behind the cute fur, you'll find venomous spines that'll instantly throw you into a fit of pain upon touch. The spines would almost jump into your body, plunging waves of pain into the affected area. After the initial contact, the pain would probably radiate up the affected area, making it less bearable. Some symptoms are, burning, swelling, nausea, headache, abdominal distress, rashes, blisters, and sometimes chest pain, numbness, or difficulty breathing. It's like a 10 in 1 bundle!

As all caterpillars, they eventually grow up and become frolicking flying animal. Don't worry, it's not a luscious hairy butterfly, it's a disgusting hairy moth. If you take a longer look at it, it's like a hairy tarantula with wings.

Lovely.

The best part is their method of creating a cocoon. Oh no, it doesn't have special glands to spin a fancy cocoon, no of course not. What it does is, rip its own furry skin off, and use it to form a faux cocoon to protect it as it transforms into another scary animal.

Disgusting look? Check. Irritatingly poisonous/venomous? Check. Disgusting way of  reproduction? Check. I think we have a winner boys.
